Jewelry care

Taking care of our jewels is very important, since although they are metal objects characterized by great resistance, they are not at all indestructible. In fact, it is essential to take care of them and give them the right maintenance to prevent them from getting ruined over time.

Jewelery can get dirty, oxidised, stained, scratched or dented and therefore giving it the right care is essential to keep it shining and beautiful over time.

Copper or Aluminum?
Most of the jewelry you can find on Jewenils is made of copper or aluminum, both have their pros and cons:

•Aluminum is difficult to oxidize and does not cause problems for those who are intolerant to nickel, however it is a soft material and therefore it is best to keep it carefully without subjecting it to strong impacts!

• Copper, on the other hand, is much more rigid as a material, consequently more resistant to strong impacts. The one I used is equipped with a plating which gives it better resistance compared to non-plated copper, but to guarantee it an always beautiful and bright appearance it is It's good to follow some small precautions!

So here are some useful tips on how to take care of your jewels✨

  • Treat your jewel with delicacy, they are still artisanal items and therefore handmade!
  • Avoid strong shocks or holding it while you sleep to prevent it from being ruined unknowingly.
  • Keep your jewelry out of contact with water (some crystals don't like to be wet).
  • Avoid exposing them to sweat, sea water and chemicals such as perfumes, deodorants, chlorine etc.
  • When you're not using them, try to keep them safe in separate bags or sachets to prevent them from getting scratched.
